Real Estate and Business Law
Business Formation and Operation
Our experience in business matters ranges from setting up small "Mom and Pop" businesses to representing parties involved in multi-million dollar mergers and buy-outs. We have helped set up corporations, Sub-Chapter S corporations, and limited liability companies for our clients. We also prepare buy-sell agreements, cross-purchase agreements and other forms of succession planning for owners of small businesses. We advise our clients on the legal and tax aspects of corporate sales and liquidations. Let us use our business expertise to help your business with its legal matters.
Please note: We do not handle public placements, syndications, or other transactions subject to Federal Exchange Commission regulations.
Our firm represents buyers, sellers, landlords, tenants, lenders,
and borrowers in small to multi-million dollar real estate transactions.
We also deal extensively with all phases of property development in
Johnson County and adjoining counties in Kansas. From something as
simple as preparing a contract to sell a residence, to a complicated
I.R.C. Section 1031 tax-free exchange of real estate, we have the
experience to handle it.
Mike uses the knowledge and expertise he gained in land use matters
while serving four years as a City Councilmember and two years as
Mayor of the City of Olathe to represent clients before planning
commissions and city councils to obtain zoning, re-zoning or plan approvals.
We also represent our clients in court on real estate litigation such as
mortgage foreclosures, quiet title actions, partition actions, and evictions.
